Child/Adolescent PRP
Child/Adolescent (PRP) focuses on maladaptive behaviors, daily living, social skills, and healthy family relationships. Psychiatric rehabilit-ation promotes recovery, full community integration, and improved quality of life for persons who have been diagnosed with any mental health condition that seriously impairs their ability to lead meaningful lives.

Substance Abuse Treatment
Intensive Outpatient Treatment “IOP” as a primary treatment program for those who do not need medically-supervised detox. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for people who are struggling with problems associated with addictions and sunbstance use

- One-on-One counseling for those with co-occurring disorders associated with substance use, and those who have Medical Assistance.
Adult PRP
Adult PRP incorporates the collab-oration between the therapist and rehabilitation coordinator to promote positive behaviors and interactions, while decreasing negative behaviors. The PRP Coordinators provide service visits with clients working on goal-oriented behavior approximately once per week. Group sessions for PRP services are held regularly on site.

What does PRP stand for? PRP stands for Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program
What is PRP? Psychiatric Rehabilitation promotes recovery, full community integration, and improved quality of life for persons who have been diagnosed with any mental health condition that seriously impairs their ability to lead meaningful lives. Psychiatric rehabilitation services are collaborative, person directed and individualized. These services are an essential element of the health care and human services spectrum, and should be evidence-based. They focus on helping individuals develop skills and access resources needed to increase their capacity to be successful and satisfied in the living, working, learning and social environments of their choice. (Anthony and Farakas, 2009, pg. 9)
How did I meet the requirements for PRP? You were referred for services by a licensed mental health professional and have identified with particular mental and emotional health challenges that has been approved by The Department of Mental Health and Hygiene.
What does PRP cost me? Nothing, it is paid for by your medical insurance through Medical Assistance.
What do I have to do to receive services? Be seen for at least 2x per month for mental health services. It can be a combination of any of the services listed below. Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, Family Therapy, Medication Management
How do I participate? (Transportation provided as needed)

- Meet with your counselor 4x per month
- Meet with your counselor 6x per month
- Attend 1 group session per month
- Attend 1 group session per month
- Attend at least 1 session on-site at our agency

What does my counselor assist with? Community Advocates use your treatment plan from therapy and assist you with creating goals that will address the current symptoms of your diagnosis. They also assist consumers with identifying community resources and provide support for accessing those services. Community resources include but not limited to shelter services, food banks, SSI, SSA, resume building etc.
What are mental health services? Mental Health Services are defined as “assessment, diagnosis, treatment or counseling in a professional relationship to assist an individual or group in alleviating mental or emotional illness, symptoms, conditions or disorders.”
How did I meet the requirements for mental health services? You can be referred for mental health services by a loved one, medical professional, educational professional, community support or yourself if you feel you are having feelings or thoughts that prevent you from handling everyday life.
What do I have to do to receive services? Complete a referral and have mental health and/or psychiatric assessment completed.
What does PRP cost me? Nothing, it is paid for by your medical insurance through Medical Assistance.
How do I participate? Attend sessions as scheduled either for: Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, Family Therapy, Medication Management
What is a mental health service provider? Mental Health Services Provider and Individuals, licensed, who perform mental health services including “a licensed social worker, licensed professional counselor, a physician who practices medicine, psychologist offering psychological services and nurses who provide mental health services to patients

All medications should be taken as directed. Most medications for mental illnesses do not work when taken irregularly, and extra doses can cause severe, sometimes dangerous side effects. Many psychiatric medications begin to have a beneficial effect only after they have been taken for several weeks.
